GENERAL COMPETITION INFORMATION
FORMAT
Athletes in our event will be ranked by GAMX. Each session will have medals for first, second, and third place, as well as prizes. Prizes will scale up in A sessions.
Trophies will be awarded to the best male and female lifter, based on GAMX.
GROUPINGS
Athletes will be grouped into sessions using both their entry total and body weight class. This allows us to create a projected GAMX score and rank all of the athletes in the competition. The entry total can be manipulated as you wish; athletes wanting to compete in the highly competitive A session should aim to provide a high enough total to secure a place in that group. A beginner may wish to go the other way and have an entry total of zero to ensure that they are in the C sessions. Prizes will scale up from C session to A, so feel free to play the game as tactically as you wish!

Start lists and schedules will be released a minimum of 2 weeks before the competition.
VOLUNTEERING
As with our previous opens, we can't make this work without the help of volunteers loading, refereeing, and generally helping out!
If you want to get involved, we will send out a Google Form to recruit help 3-4 weeks before the competition. Please let us know what times and roles you can fill. ​
LIVE STREAM
Once again, organised and delivered by Mark Tallett. The stream will be available for free via YouTube on the Liverpool Weightlifting YouTube page; we are hoping that there will be scope for guests to join Mark on the commentary for interviews and a bit of banter too!
